Rules that decide games

Doginal Dogs Legends is a collectible trading card game. The full rulebook lives at ddltcg.com. These four Rise of the Pack rules change how a 40-card deck gets built more than anything else in the box.

RULE 01

The kill-gate

Creatures never chip each other. An attack is only legal if somebody dies — your ATK is at least their HP, or their ATK is at least your HP.

So a low-ATK, high-HP body can't be attacked by most of the set. Helios 0/4 needs a 4+ ATK attacker, and it never kills back, so no suicide trade exists either.

RULE 02

The opening return

Draw four, then every card costing 5 or more goes back and you redraw that many. Replacements stay regardless of cost.

Top-heavy decks get punished twice — you lose the card and you thin your own cheap half.

RULE 03

Five lanes, no sliding

Five creature lanes, one creature each, and gaps never close. Adjacency is left and right only, never diagonal.

Every permanent engine competes for the same five slots, which hard-caps how many passives a deck can field.

RULE 04

Taunt closes the board

While an enemy Taunt is in play, attacks must target a Taunt. Face is closed and so is every other body.

Stack that with the kill-gate and a Taunt you can't legally attack means the attacker can't declare at all.
